GNR and Axl have always had bad press, with the old band and with the new band too, so this is nothing new for them. And imo, neither Axl nor the band or management can´t be responding to every single piece of stupidity out there. They don´t have to play this game and feed the critics/bad press and the billshiters.

Bad press is better than not getting any press at all.
I think Axl is the only artist who still got press in spite of not being seen for so many years. It means the world didn't forget him (lovers and haters) and that's a wonderful thing for an artist.

I watched a vid of Bon Jovi a couple of years ago, before 2006 tour. It was soooo funny to hear Blow Jobi bitching about Axl! It was after Axl's incident with Tommy whatever.
Jovi was furious because Axl was getting press without having released a record in years, while he didn't get press at all having released (shitty) music, performed at some (horror?) movies, and blahblahblah   lol

As much as he seems to hate him, Jovi spent 3/4 of his interview promoting Axl

I think bad press would make them stronger because it would give them the urge to make more music to make the critics shut up  rockon

Because in the past the bad press was not about the music.  It was more for Axl's erratic behavior, and Slash's and the rest of the bands debauchary.  All the bad press that they have been getting lately is about either the music and the direction it has taken and Axl bullshiting and not releasing the damn album.

So they must feel confident about it

If they were confident about this record it would be out the set backs going back to mix songs agen and agen just shows how uncertian axl is about the final product

That's just conjecture at this point.  I mean, he did decide to put his song in like the biggest game out there now.

It takes a long time to reinvent yourself which I don't think he's doing.  It takes longer to re-establish yourself.
