GUNSNROSES.US NEWS & ’THE SILENCE IS ILLUSION NEWSLETTER’ MERGERWhen GUNSNROSES.US opens its doors on Monday morning, it will signal the completion one of the biggest Guns N Roses mergers in online history since the GUNSNROSES.US and NewGNR.COM community merger to reform ChineseDemocracy.com in July of 2003.
Gerrit Wustmann, aka The Perfect Gentleman, is the founder of the largest worldwide Guns N’ Roses newsletter sent via email. The merger of his newsletter and gunsnroses.us will expand globally to Europe (with the original newsletter being based in Germany) and the United States. A wider, worldwide audience will result, with recipients in most of earths countries.
GUNSNROSES.US Founder, Sean Shanahan (BP), explains, “I have been receiving Gerrit’s newsletter for years and have been very fond of his enthusiasm and dedication. He is the ’Perfect Gentleman’ and you will see why! Gerrit is a very important part of our team now and not only is he a fan of GNR, but his news and inside info is spot on with outstanding credentials. He is a "real" writer, encompassing many journalistic styles. He has published poems, short stories, essays and has worked as a producer on the book "Übergänge 20", in which he made with a group of 20 German writers. He is also the webmaster and member of the German writers association Autorenkreis Rhein-Erft. Sean adds, "I got a pretty big of a response from people wanting to join this news team and I’ve been selective. Our staff is shaping up with journalists who have written for The Gauntlet, KNAC.COM, BBC NEWS, RIP magazine and others."
When speaking of how the Guns N’ Roses newsletter became reality, Gerrit explains, “I’m a long time Guns N’ Roses fan who was always looking for a good GNR newsletter. I wasn’t able to find one, so I just decided to do it myself. I wanted to serve people with news, as it is hard to get official news on GNR if you don’t have the time to browse countless websites daily. I also try to be fast and reliable, as well as building up a connection between the band and their fan base."
The GUNSNROSES.US / ’THE SILENCE IS ILLUSION NEWSLETTER’ MERGER will also let us create a new format that will be more user friendly for fans. An engine is currently being produced to make the process of signing up more easy (We will let you know when it’s done). This will also add to the diverse family at GUNSNROSES.US and strengthen our News department. The site already stands out as the most talked about ’fan fun’ of media, audio and artistic productions.
The already popular and successful Guns N Roses forum at ChineseDemocracy.com (which is managed by gunsnroses.us and newgnr.com), will only be enhanced by this merger. Ultimately, it will strenghten the ties between GnR fans and these websites.
