NEW GN'R ALBUM OUT IN MARCH!

Slash Says Guns N' Roses Will Release The Long-Awaited Chinese Democracy Album Next Month.

Talk, compounded by none other than former Guns guitarist Slash, is that Axl Rose is gearing up to release Chinese Democracy - the bands's first studio record since 1991 - next month. Slash, now playing in Velvet Revolver, recently revealed that the long-running saga of when Rose would release the record could almost be at an end. "Axl's got a record coming out, Guns I guess  you'd call it, I think in March," he told Metal
Hammer magazine, "which is sorta cool. You know, it's gonna be interesting to hear it after all this time and after all this talk about what's
going on with him. I've been told a lot of things over the years, but it definitely sounds like it's coming out in March."
Chinese Democracy has been in the works for over seven years and has reportedly cost $13 million to make so far. Tracks slated for inclusion so far include the appropriately named Ides Of March, Substitute, Closing In On You and Leave Me Alone.
Guns fans needn't get too disapointed if the record doesn't come out in March. Recod label Geffen may release Volume Two of Guns N' Roses Greatest Hits as a stopgap.

I've met the Total Guitar guys.

They are like us and don't know more about CD than we do. So this is irrelevant, but what it does is it tells folk who don't go to CD.com what is happening.

Seriously, how would Greatest Hit: Vol 2 be a stopgap. I don't know about you, but I own all the previous albums. I didn't even bother looking at GNR Greatest Hits: Vol 1; I knew it wouldn't give me what I wanted, which is NEW SONGS from GNR. I would have to say that this is going to work for the "everyday" fan, but for anyone who is reading this I don't feel it would do much good. Just get the damn album out.

PS: The only exception being Sympathy For The Devil, which I downloaded.

eh i guess, as long as CD is still on the cards, i'll buy this. I mean if i want to have a complete collection...

like i said in the other thread, if theyre just covering their old songs and going to release them and act as though its new material i WON'T buy it, but if this is just to keep the money rolling for geffen whilst CD is crawling towards the finish line i have no problem with it and WILL buy it.
