There's plently other STI's and some are very fatal. AIDs isn't the only STI killer.

I want a cure for AIDS on behalf of the children who are born with it, and the people who get it after being raped. Hepatitis C can deal with those who fuck around with no common sense.

what would you do with the people who catch hepatitis C after being raped then? not to be a dick or anything, but passing social stigma from one disease onto another isn't really of much use to anyone

the fact is that a cure for something like aids will never be readily made available to the people who need it most, as nice as it is that we might find a cure for it, at the end of the day, it's never gonna be rolled out across africa, and as much as it will help rape victims and children, the main clientelle are going to be westerners who got aids from fucking a hooker or injecting.

And THIS will reach Africa. Charities like BBC's Red Nose Day etc will provide these to Africa.

How much reaches there is the problem though.

Such a cure will make millions; Governments will use this to make shit loads of cash rather than actually sticking their heads out of their arse and giving it for free, like the flu-jab.

charities will never raise enough money to provide enough of whatever is needed to cure a disease that is killing close to 30% of an entire continent's population, the only chance this would have of being a success is if western governments supplied it to Africa for free, even then distribution in countries with barely recognisable infrastructures, in a state on constant political unrest and corruption is still going to be impossible, in my opinion, there's no way we'll ever be able to do anything about the AIDS problem in Africa until we get rid of 3rd world poverty, it's just not feasible

Africa is gone. All's that's left are the kids (contaminated with AIDS) and elderly.

The AIDS virus replicates 10 24th (power); it can't be 'cured' because it changes and replicates faster than we could ever possibly hope to 'kill' it especially since it's not a 'life form' as we know it.

It's positive thoughts for the promiscuous I guess. Also too small for condoms. And, then there's always teeth and gums.

Very similar to the superbugs MRSA, VRSA, new strains of Strep, Syphillis, Clap, etc. Bugs have been around for billions of years and have a tad more up on us as far as survival goes.
