In order to have record sales, you first need to release a record.  Don't get ahead of yourself.  These leaks may not hurt record sales in the same way the 2002 tour bootlegs won't hurt record sales...because they are so old by the time the record comes out.

they still need to promote it outside of the internet, because only people who have been looking for news will find it. people who know about the album but dont worry about it and just completerly forget about it wont know its being released, and some moderate fans of GNR dont even know about the album.

Records companies sometimes are the ones that leak songs and then act like "how the hell did that happen" just to create a buzz for the band.  I honestly think GNR leaked these songs to get the hype going.  Then act lik they didn't.  Lots of bands have done that, it's nothing new.

Yeah I agree with you ryanf...!

I think its all free publicity... intended and planned... And that can lead to only one thing.... CD will be out soon...

And yes its true.. some we (true gnr fans) are the only one who have it ... the majority of fans dont... or dont even care.. they just dont know whats going on with the band... or that it still exists... cause of axls silence... and everything going around them....

just the oder day... I was talking to some chick that used to be a fan of gnr... and I told her about new songs.. she goes ... hey man.. axl is dead.. are you joking me... and I was like WTF???

this sure will surprise lots of people :)
