According to thenewguns.com, Merck Mercuriadis has confirmed that Guns N'Roses will play the Gods of Metal Festival in Italy.

The festival takes place on 3rd/4th June 2006.

Rock in Rio, 27 May 2006, Lisbon.
Gods of Metal, 3-4 June 2006, Bologna, Italy.
Nova Rock, 15 June 2006, Pannonia Fields II, Burgenland, somewhere in Hungary?

I'm very excited about all these gigs.
I don't live anywhere near any of them,but that doesn't fucking matter,Guns is back.
I hope they cut alot of the old tunes out of the set list.

If there is an american tour and Axl dosen't play it's so easy... i'm getting on stage and kicking me some rock star ass.

But i do agree, they do need to play estranged, don't cry and coma.

Uhh, this time around, there won't be any AFD shit.
And if he did play any old song, it wouldn't be Coma. Old band played it 4 times. Why? Because the song is fucking wacko. No way would New GNR ever play it.

they won't do don't cry or estranged... cause the songs is so.........slash.... you know, slash signature solos... uhm... if they do it they will always be compared with slash, which, i don't think, they will or even tries too be... if they did those songs i think they would have had to change the solos, but that wouldn't the fans like... therefor no don't cry / estranged...

UPDATE FROM THE PROMOTERS:

the Gods Of Metal Festival will take place in Milan during 1st to 4th of June.

Guns N Roses will be headliner on the last day.

yes, i confirm it. Gods of Metal is in Milan. Gnr plays 4th june. others new bands at the festival are mothoread, korn and deftones. probrably others headliners will be ac/dc and metallica...
