- no GN'R mention in that commercial...BUT...

...they say "Get in the Ring bei* ROCK AM RING" in there

60 euro dagkaart Graspop..........gerucht gaat dat Guns naar Nijmegen komt op 2 juni, (wordt door een admin gezegd op dutchdemocracy.nl) Als dat zo is wordt het denk ik spoedig bekendgemaakt. 2 juni is vlak naar Rock in Rio......wel raar op een vrijdag in nijmegen....maarja....afwachten maar.

Maar op DD.nl weten ze net zoveel als hier, ook geen inside sources.

Anyway, GN'R really has to play Rock am Ring. In the past, quite a lot FULL, UNEDITED gigs from this festival have been broadcasted via the german TV station WDR (http://www.wdr.de) on the show Rockpalast (http://www.rockpalast.de) a coupled of weeks later. Sometimes they do not scoop the rights for the broadcast, in this case MTV broadcasts a few songs... So let's hope for WDR!!!!!!!!!!!

WDR is currently setting it up. I know because I work there. There might be a chance that they broadcast the show live, but as far as I know at the moment, MTV is also trying to get the rights for broadcast.

Well, we will see. As soon as I hear something definite I'll post here....

they're not stupid they knew they would get special attention if they make a slogan like 'get in the ring'

ok one more, fields of rock doesn't even have an official webpage, so who can guarantee me it's true what festival-info says? cause festival-info.nl doesn't have any inside sources aswel (right?)..when you go to www.fieldsofrock.nl you'll still see the 2005 version

This thread is for Rock Am Ring in Germany, not Fields Of Rock...

Anyways, let me clear up: I have a source for this which I do trust 100%. If it should turn out not to happen (which I honestly don't believe), I will take all the blame.

But as of know all I can say is that Guns will play.

i mean, i think gunsnroses.us is great, but what's the use of posts like "stay tuned for more news coming very soon"..Very soon is within a couple of days, and these days are over. after that a post like that just causes frustration

Yes, I can understand your frustration. "Soon" means within a month. That's the closest I can say. I don't know why they are waiting with the announcement, but from what I've been told, it has to do with GN'Rs unstability. They were announced before and cancelled. I'm sure the promoters don't want to take any more risk with the band. And, by the way, I personally think that is very plausible.

Just enjoy all the things that are currently happening. You will know soon enough to be able to buy tickets. Don't fear to not get tickets, because a festival will not announce a band after tickets are sold out.

Just relax.
