Are the new songs realy that good???

To tell you the truth when I got the 2:06 Better mp3 I thought, hell yeah, if everything will be that good, we're back in business, GN'R business that is!!!
However after listening to the whole demo (4:56) I'm disappointed :o(
Don't you think that all the demos have some good parts, but there are places, there should be places where Axl should just shut the hell up and let the guitars talk. I don't mean the solos, just like bits between chords for example.
Maybe the whole grudge between the old lineup was, that Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy, they all had their concepts. They were like opposites, fucking jing-jang kind of relationship. Slash wanted blues, put it there, Duff punk, put it there, Izzy liked "Izzy style", so it was there, "Axls style" was there too.
Maybe that was the shit with the whole band having the really heavy hits, there are no bad songs on their albums (don't count spaghetti :o)

Well maybe when Axl doesn't have his mates to say, "Axl that is shit!!!" maybe that is why the new songs are not as great as they should be.

Sorry but the new lineup just doesn't have a vote, it's all Axl and that is the main problem.

Guys we are all die hard fans on this forum, but what about people that say the new material is shit, the people not such hard fans? We are not objective and U know that.

The full better is awesome, why does noone like the crazy change in the middle, its amazing it gives the song an edge and the ending solo and the high axl part makes it one of the greatest songs ever written. So yes it really is THAT good.

Better is great in my eyes and cant judge one or 2 songs which are DEMOS!!! to a whole album!

It's my favourite of the 3 even before i heard the full track but now I LOVE IT! it's only a demo though folks and bucketheads contributions will probably be removed by now and replaced with a different part......which i think is a major bummer.

at the end of the day guns n roses were bound to be different from last tym but they have produced sum gd material in the new album....every song cnt be amazin, but the lyks of 'the blues', 'better', 'i.r.s', shows that there is some good shit you just cudnt expect the same from all them years ago!!

Having only been able to get i.r.s. at this point i can only speak concerning that song and i cant stop listening and reallylike the song. Axl still can hit the highs as evidenced when he holds the scream in the line -you know its truuuuuuuuuuuue- I find it very impressive even in demo form and cant wait for the polished final product

Well... its really interesting....

I agree that we are not the real audience.. cause we'll buy the album for sure... the real test for Axl and gunners are those people that never really listened  to them....

I've send Better... Irs... and TWAT to some friends that are not into GNR ... at first... they all said... its ok.. but nothing speciall.. and after a while... they all got into it... and now cant stop listening to it.. so I guess this shit really is good!

I also didn't like the change in BETTER... I am still not 100% sure that is the real thing... but yesterday.... after I was mad at some people.. and listened to that last secion of better.. .where axl start screaming... man.. it really felt goooooooood

but to think that the demo's created such a buzz... imagine what the studio version will do to us... plus MADDY  and BLUES are still out there to be heard... and I'm betting big bucks to THIS I LOVE and THYME
