where the fuck are all this rumors coming from?!
It's idiotic!!!

stop posting about it people, it's not gonna happen. and if it happens, that'd be the worst thing that could happen to the band.
somebody lock/delete this thread after a while because I can already see a bunch of "axl and slash rule", and "you are not a GNR fan if you don't want to see Axl/Slash togather" replies.
Finck... you fag!  :( why did you have to go...?

only way they could be togather if one of them changed sex, and they find a way to brainwash every person who knows anything about the past 10 years.

let's be honest here.

did you find GN'R because of Rhiad and the Bediouns or Welcome to the Jungle?

that's what i thought.

deep down EVERY GN'R fan wants a certain member back, and for many, it's obviously gonna be Slash.  him and Axl were best friends and when you'd say Slash, you'd think of Slash and Axl, not Slash and the fag Weiland.

i'd be happy if Slash would return.

I know it's difficult, Axl wants us to know that he was the main ingredient in Guns N' Roses, so he wants to make Chinese Democracy with no old-members' help, and he wants it to be really good. I'm(and we all are) pretty sure Slash's guitars won't be in the CD.I know another thing, the album is gonna be awesome. Now Axl knows one more thing, the world want to see the old gunners...imagine you are at Rock in Rio this year, imagine the first Jungle notes, you see the lights go on, you see who you think is buckethead, and then he rips his mask off...and he's Slash!!! You can be sure that would be the kick ass thing that would put Guns N' Roses in everybody's lips once again. Axl knows it. I don't know if he wants to run a tour by himself with no old members, if he does, then a reunion is unlikely. But with an awesome album without old members would be enough to prove the genius he is. Come on Axl, give us what we want. That would be remembered in all rock history.

keep in mind, he played that Hendrix solo thingy and we all know Cuntraband was horrible produced and it was rushed to be made.

agreed. Slash can still play as well he just doesn't have great musicians like Axl and Izzy around to support him anymore. I mean Dave Kushner and Weiland fuckin suck.

god damn. this turned into another useless thread that all the forums are full of.

I don't want to see slash in GNR now or anytime soon.
it would make him and axl look fake. after all the media bashing (and dont go saying that media made it all up-remember the 2002 incident, and if you guys doubt the media so much, then why the fuck do you agree with all the god damn rumors about slash being back in the band?!)

If you have seen Slash preform live recently you will notice how much his playing has improved. His picking is much better these days than it was before. The reason you guys don't like the guitar work from Contraband is because it's not the same style Slash has played before. He was Listening to a lot of UFO during the recording sessions and his playing on the album is very Michael Schenker influenced on it. When I saw Slash live he nailed every solo perfectly...including the GN'R covers.

I don't need you to tell me what to believe or don't believe Mr. Lucky. I can see things myself... Just look at what they say NOW about each other. Maybe things went bad, now things are getting better and better. That doesn't mean there will be a reunion, that means that COULD BE. And maybe you don't want it to happen, i can tell you almost everybody wants to see them together. What I don't want is seeing them together if they really don't want to be together, so what will happen will be good. If there is not a reunion then, Axl give us good rock and that's all, we'll be happy. If there is a reunion  then we'll be even more happy, that's all.

I don't want to see them anytime soon.
Chinese Democracy in my eyes is not a sequel to AFD and UYIs, but a begining of something new, and appearence of Slash on the new songs would only confuse the fans. this way we know not to expect a total GNR sound, and if in 5 years the original band goes into a group therapy and work it all out, I'd love to see them tour, but I don't except them to write a new album, because as much as I respect all of them, I think that a 50 year old no matter how much viagra he had, cant feel as young and can't have the mentality of a 25 rock n roller we all got used to so much.

P.S.
trashing the songs is out of the question, and I respect Slash way to much to see him re-record somebody elses parts. At this point I'd like to see buckethead back in the band more than anybody else, just because anyone who replaces him him, cant possibely continue his work as effectively as he could have. once you put in your soul into something, it's hard for anyone else to get into the same state of mind. despite Axl's ability to get the best out of musicians, they are more than instruments, and I don't think Axl can play with people that well(or I at least hope he doesn't)

well.  i doubt Slash would just re-record Bucket's parts.  Slash can't shred, so he'd put a new spin on the stuff Bucket did.

that's not "it".
anyone with a bit of ego would want to be involved into a whole creative proces, not just "spinning things".

and I don't think that you can modify a song that easly. in a song everything is connected, and changing the guitars could require changing the bass, vocals,... and soon("soon...is not the word"), you'd have a completely diferent project, and the sound of CD I've heard so far has potential, and I'd like to see how it works out. if slash ever rejoins the band then you'd definitely hear his "spin" of the new songs, and that way, we'd get the album with a current lineup and a live slash "cover".
and if slash does retouch CD we'd always be saying ... "all that could have been".(no matter how the album works out).
