I'm beginning to think all this hype is for nothing and Axl will find a way not to release Chin. Dem. this year.  I would like to think on the bright side; that the CD(s) are done, as evident by Axl playing the samples for several people already, and that he and Geffen merely are waiting for the recent litigation to end before making the decision on setting a release date and promoting the album.  It makes sense, being that the litigation primarily concerns whether GNR's ex's are entitled to any of the money earned off of songs recorded long after their departure.  Considering that this album has taken 13 years, I'm sure Axl is in absolutely no rush to release and wants to make sure everything is set before finally committing to having a normal, functioning band once again.

However, I'm sure all of you have this bad feeling that something bad will happen and cause Axl is freak out and not release the album this year.  Hell, I was at the Chicago '02 concert, and he threatened to stop the show midway through a song because some guy in the arena was shining a laser pointer onto the stage.  Any little thing can set Axl off and as each week goes by without any updates on release dates, official confirmations from the band about the tour dates, etc., I am beginning to feel like we are on an episode of punk'd.  I think Axl wants to see how much more shit he can put the few loyal fans left, through before we all just give up this band.  He's already done this a few times; the album was supposedly to be released about 5 or 6 different years by now.  If this album isn;t released this year, I will just have to assume it will never ever come out at this point.

I'm not really worrying bout it right now, if it happens it happens if it doesn't o well nothing you can do about it.  I do think it will be released this year though.

yeah, i couldn't imagine many fans would be able to tolerate another year of getting hopes up only to be disappointed.  Atleast we are all blessed with new Scott Weiland music.

The leaks have nothing to do with when the album gets released.  It is what it is, a leak.  The truth is usally somewhere in between, so I would guess Axl had something to do with it.  

If they don't release the CD, or AT LEAST make an announcement outside of some bullshit legal press release about ex bandmemebers...then Axl and his management are complete boneheads.  

Music has never been more ready for an album of this caliber.

Look at all the shitty music out there, like "Fall Out Boy" and all these stupid "The" bands.

Hey assholes, you've got a little momentum with the leaks...make an announcement.

Even if they ever get around to issuing an official statement about a release this year, I'm not believing Axl is following through with the release until the CD is in my hands at the check-out counter in the music store.  But definitely, if I have to hear that crap on the radio they actually call rock for much longer, I'm going to ripe out the radio in my car

Today is the 10th of March.........it's confirmed that they will play on the 27th of May at Rock in Rio......

in 77 days lots of things can still happen.....shit i really hope they will release this fucking album!!!!!!!! and that they won't cancel this fucking european tour!!!!!

I think we're expecting too much... i mean yes its been a long time but we finally got some news, Axl making public appearances, also with the leaks, that should be able to hold us off until rock in rio.  Im sure even if its not released before rock in rio we will get a good explanation from Axl at the concert on what the hells bein goin on.
