Jesus Christ...is this for real?  Come on, children, behave.  While I thought Axl's comments were a little too personal, this is just blatant "I'll show you" standoffishness (I know that's not a word, sue me).  I would have been more impressed if this were Duff or Slash making these statements, but this is Scott Weiland.  The man has no credibility whatsoever.  He kept fucking over his previous band by sticking to the heroin, he let down fans by being forced into lockdown rehab and shelving a tour, his lyrics NEED the help from others, and as for his accomplishments...let me list those.  3 solid rock albums, one horrible solo album, one mediocre comeback album, and a complete pile of shit final studio album to round it all out.  Four stints in rehab, a number of drug-related arrests, and the disbanding of a band that COULD have been a force in rock if he'd just stayed focused and laid off the junk.  Axl's an asshole, through and through.  He's made bad decisions and has fucked over a lot of people and fans...but Weiland acting like his shit don't stink?  Sorry, you're sorely fucking mistaken.  Sounds to me like Axl touched a nerve and you're reacting a little irrationally.  This isn't your fight, Scott...stop trying to make it so.

Somebody had to say it. Axl came out through his lawyer and trashed Scott's bandmates. Scott had to say something to let everyone know that he cares about his band. I wouldn't put anything past Axl, and what happened to the whole "I haven't spoken to Slash in 10 years" thing? Did he all of a sudden remember this 5:30 in the morning visit Slash made to his house in October? Axl's statement, through his lawyer, sounds completely ridiculous. Can you really imagine Slash saying "Axl you are 'the stronger'"?? Scott came out and reacted like Axl used to, when everybody loved Axl and thought he was great because he didn't take b/s from anyone. He wasn't afraid to speak his mind. Now he has to run everything by his 'handlers' before he decides to say anything. His therapist probably convinced him that he just blocked out the memory of Slash visiting his house because it was too painful. Give me a break people. The new songs are really good and I, like everyone else, really want to hear the album. Axl needs to stop delaying and just put the thing out. Until then, at least somebody is speaking their mind.

Sweet Axl V. Scott, Axl is a way better singer and a way better frontman than Scott but Scott is coming off alot cooler by not talking through his lawyer
IT IS REALLY HAPPENING!

But Scott says in his statement: "Don’t think for a second we don't know where those words came from. Your unoriginal, uncreative little mind... Who's the fraud now, bitch?"

So he, presumably having heard Slash's side of the story, is saying that Axl made up those comments in the lawyer's statement.

If nothing else, it keeps us fans preoccupied while we wait for the albums. Just like a child stuck in the middle of its parent's divorce, I'm not siding with either and just hope they all grow up and get on with their respective careers.

You guys can slam all Weiland all you want for this, but I think it was the right thing for him to do.  As the frontman for his band, Weiland has a duty to take a stand when someone takes a hit at any of his band mates.  Regardless these comments go over the line personally, he has a valid point.  The guy has been through all that shit (4 rehabs, numerous arrests, released 5 albums combined, and toured) all while Axl has done noting for 13 years but spit in his fans face.  Talent wise, there's no comparison w/ Axl and Scott, but you really can't say Weiland is not epxressing some thoughts we have had in the back of our heads.

Millionaires having a cat fight.  It's all high drama, and quite entertaining.  Hopefully this will piss off Axl and get the wheels spinning.

Rock needs feudal shit like this.

Didn't a website add those comments, the official statement lacked that part or something.

Axl hasnt even gotten on stage yet and already so much hype. He's bringing the edge of rock back by just being Axl Rose.

I respect Scott speaking his mind and adding fuel to Axl's fire but the dude still looks like a homo on stage. Axl has him beat on all points of rock stardom.

Someone said before that this might inspire Axl to write a hard rock song. If he does then you know its going to be the shit. Maybe another "Double Talkin' Jive" type song.

Mr. W.A.R is creating a lot of buzz for a "has been" hmm?  :finger:
