My personal view on the VR Axl feud

ok heres my opinion. We should take sides in this. If we take sides in this feud that will only make the divide between the two bands greater. We should look upon this with a neutral view. Vr fans should be gnr fans and gnr fans should be ver fans. If we the fans split it will only make the likeliness of gnr coming back together worse and widen the gap between the two bands. They are both bands that share a common goal. To bring back rock.

If we split we weaken the dieing genre of rock even more if we stand unified we begin to revive rock.

just joking  but seriously i don't think Axl's goal is to bring back rock i think he's doing this for more of a personal artistic expression than anything else. He could have brought back rock five years ago. I really think that this is his own therapy and fuck the world if it is big or not. I don't think he's about that anymore.

Yeah, on top of that i'm thinking he wants this album to cement his position on Rock history (does he need to be though?) also i'm guessing he'd like to kick his former bandmates ass' with this CD, showing he doesn't need any of them to produce a kickass record.

First of all Rock never died.
Second, Velvet Revolver sounds more like the good ol' rock GNR made than the leaks that have come out now.
Not surprisingly though, considering the band members.
Agree about the last part though.
The best rock was released during the 70's and 80's.
But we still have bands who's coming out with excellent shit now.

VR isn't alternative ,for that matter neither was STP . they were just tossed in with that group because they were the only NEW hard rock band going at the time and they had no other label to put on em'.

I just put artist into 2 groups. Good music and bad music. I think VR and the new GnR make good music. The new GnR just makes alot more good music. I only liked maybe 2 songs on Contraband but I have liked all the new GnR stuff so far.

yea but then again vr was kinda rushed so if the come up sort on thier sophmore album then we know that maybe they shouldnt keep on going cuz axl did have like 13 years to work on his vr rushed out an album
