3 versions of Dont Cry?

I remember hearing a demo of Don't Cry back in 88'.  There was an ad in the back of Hit Parader or Metal Edge and I sent away for it.  It had demos for every song on Appetite as well as Don't Cry, an acoustic, shorter version of November Rain, Back Off Bitch, Shadow of Your Love and the songs on Live Like a Suicide.

it has Duff talkin in the middle of the song.

That isnt duff its axl. If you listen Axl even sings some of the verses like duff sounds.

It isn't axl or duff. It's Shanon Hoon, the guy who sang backing on the 2 origanals.  He sings the whole thing. Axls not even in it. It's really cool though. My favorite version.

In March 1990, after several run-in's with the police and feeling stiffled by Lafayette, Shannon moved to Los Angeles in hopes of following the same path fellow Lafayette native, Axl Rose. It was in LA that Hoon met and formed Blind Melon with Glen Graham, Brad Smith, Rogers Stevens, and Christopher Thorn, all of whom shared a dislike of the LA glam metal scene. While recording "Sipping Time Sessions", an overproduced album that was quickly aborted by the band, Hoon met with Rose and after hearing him sing "Don't Cry" invited him to sing on the album and video of "Don't Cry".

"Sing on the album" = UYI, over "the whole song" = HE DOES sing on the whole song, on UYI!  Not just the "Oohs".

This demo is what Shannon listened to when he was in Indiana.  Unless he is Marty McFly, he couldn't hear himself on a demo that introduced himself to Guns N' Roses, and then go SING that demo because he knew the song from hearing the demo!

It is so obviously NOT Shannon's voice.

lol got some crappy version where u anyway can hear slash and the scream "I'm a westcoast junky , a eastcoast monkey got an elephant dick under my arm" don't they even sing something like this at nightrain ? haha ;D

Well man, thats what the guys sing on the GNR Rumbo Tapes!
I wonder if anyone knows if its Axl who sings on "Don't Cry" on the Rumbo tape version? I have download the whole shit!
