This statement is from M. Shadows, the singer of Avenged Sevenfold about Axl and Scott's little feud. There's some interesting stuff in it.

I did see some of that.
I feel AXL is a better singer, GNR was a better band (legends, STP wasn't ever close to that status), and I love the 12 New GNR songs that I have. So I'm not going to say anymore then that I usually root for the bad guy and since AXL is public enemy #1 and is my favorite singer of all time, I'll have to go with AXL. That being said, I think Scott is great and I love the Velvet Revolver record. I sure hope Slash gets back with AXL, but I doubt it will happen soon.
And for the record, AXL was nothing but a nice, down to earth, great guy to talk to when I met him. Very respectful and generous, taking pictures with everyone and just seemed to be having a good time.

i really like Avenged Sevenfold............now i really fuckin like'em!! wish i could go see them open for GNR in Paris.......Shadow has always said Axl was his favorite singer more than once publicly......so I could see Axl knowing that and giving him a copy!!! Fuckin' cool that he'd come out and give some support to Axl

maybe he isn't talking about the instrumentals, but he has the actual album, maybe he just said 12 instead of 13 by accident. or maybe on chinese democracy one of the tracks is a cover of one of their old songs? who knows

i may be wrong, but to me that doesn't sound like M. Shadows at all. where did you find this interveiw or whatever it was, it seems fake to me, he doesn't talk that way, it doesn't seem like his actual words, they seem to jumbled up, and he would swear more to
