IRS & Led Zeppelin's The Rain Song - Intro Similarity?

Hey. Maybe its just me but I'm listening to my ipod on random at the moment and when The Rain Song came on I expected to hear Axl singing. Anyone else realised how similar the songs are to each other at the beginning?

Never thought about that but now that you mention it, there's some similarities. Not as much as The Rover and 1986-Rocket Queen did though

Absolutely noticed that the first time I heard I.R.S.

Sounds like a combo of Rain Song intro, and rhythm reminds me a little of
Black Dog / Rock&Roll maybe. Not quite sure, but something along those lines.

Either way, I.R.S. is a great song -

oh, well...
o trust me, there will, physical graffiti was marked as zeppelins master piece and chinese democracy is axls, plus alot of gnr songs stem from zeppelin (mainly slash's solos cuz they stem from blues guitar as paige's did) and axl sounds as close to robert plant as any popular singer could get.  There will be comparisons and i think physical graffiti is the only album you could really compare chinese democracy to

I was the one who brought up that idea :D
But I guess that Riad could be inspirde by the Immigrant Song,doesn't sound that similar.
