Does anyone knows who plays lead guitar on Crash Diet? Im not sure if its Slash, because its not he's playing style at all!

And, why isn't this song on a album? It's so fucking cool!  :D

Like said many times, it's released by a band called Asphalt Ballet in 1993. The lp was titled "Pigs".

I've always thought the person who plays the guitars in this is the guitarist of AB. Can't remember his name & I'm too lazy to go thought my record collection...

it was West Arkeem.

or i could be totally wrong, but it was someone who was related to the band.

and GN'R wrote it and Asphalt Ballet covered it.

I'm quite new here, but some of these posts are becoming tiresome.. I think the average GNR fans are signing up to this board after they've heard Chi. Dem. is close to being released.

It is GnR, its on the rumbo tapes that is filled with their demos. It is a good song and it does sound like slash is playing for sure.

I thought the rumbo tapes and crash diet were pre AFD demos from 86 and 87. Anyway crash diet is from before 1990 as shown by this taken from slash's official fan site...

"I found a song called "Crash Diet" which apparently is an unreleased GNR tune. It sounds like Axl singing, but the guitar doesn't sound like your style. I don't think it is the 'new' GNR, so could you tell me what's the deal with this song? Thanks, man, you rock!"

SLASH replies, " 'Crash Diet' is a REALLY old song that was kicked around back in the old days. I don't know who wrote that, but it is definitely old".

I just had a late 80's flashback...I lived near Sunset from 84-92, I remember my friend had a buddy in a band, Asphalt Ballet, the guy was Danny Clark, classic, I never knew he worked with Axl and I had wondered where the hell this song was from, it's  a pretty cool song, just the lead would have been better with Slash...
lonely tear drops<br />ooh, are calling you<br />but I don't wanna know it now<br />'cause knowing you, it won't change a damn thing.<br />but there was a time.
