Good.
Maybe Slash has told him to take it down,as what Axl said really took place.

I think that Scott's lawyers realise that he was messing with someone who 's to big (Axl), and Slash also asked to take it off from VR's page

Unless he noticed how much of a media "buzz" this has created,I think Slash (or any member of the band who wants no part of it,like Duff) told him to take it down.

True, but if Slash told him to take it down, because what he said is true, than taking it down would show he was wrong, and acted like a child.

....and once again a VR member makes themselves look stupid by not getting all the facts first. I hope its not that for Scotts sake.

Good statement

Now that's a good statement.

I really don't understand why this forum exists or who it caters to. Are there really people out there who are so desperate to have Guns N' Roses in their lives that they will wait endlessly while one person farts around for over a decade before daring to release an album under that name?

If this album ever appears what will it mean? It may have the name Guns N' Roses on it, but is that all it takes to get some people excited?

If Axl Rose had any balls he would release this album - if he ever does release it - as an Axl Rose solo album since that is what it is. It isn't going to be the classic 1987-1991 GNR on the album so why pretend that it is?

I don't get it about the people who are waiting for this album. Is this album going to be better if it is released under the GNR name than it would be if it was released as an Axl Rose solo album?

And this GNR tour. Do these people really think that they are going to see the 1987-1991 version of GNR? I see the comments already 'I'm really excited about this tour - I'm going to see GNR'. Technically you are going to see something that is called GNR but it isn't the 1987-1991 GNR with all the other members - you are going to see Axl Rose and a bunch of other guys.

Here's the real question that you have to answer:
Would you be as excited if this album was released as an Axl Rose album, and the tour was an Axl Rose solo tour? Say Axl didn't use the GNR name. Would there be as much fuss over this alleged album and the tour?

This all reminds me of the Beatles breakup. Imagine if in 1970 when the Beatles broke up Paul McCartney had ended up with the rights to use the Beatles name and had pissed about like Axl has. Instead of releasing anything McCartney could have 'done an Axl' and continually said that a new Beatles album was on the way. He could have released the grand total of 1 new original song in the 13 years up to 1983, and in early 1983 would have still been promising the new album. Of course he could have toured on and off over those 13 years, playing mainly old Beatles material and some new proposed Beatles songs that never actually got released. Thankfully of course McCartney didn't do any of this, but if he had people would rightly have laughed at and/or pitied him.

Axl is in charge of a farce, and I can't understand why anyone thinks that GNR actually exists. This is an Axl Rose solo project and Axl should be laughed at and/or pitied. The one thing that he doesn't deserve is a legion of people waiting with bated breath for a new GNR album and tour. But there is a legion of fools out there who actually do think that is what they are going to be getting.

Axl Rose is this generation's Brian Wilson (in a mental sense), the one difference being that Wilson wasn't a chickenshit who was scared to release material. Not all of his material was good never mind great but at least he put it out.

It's embarrasing to see once the names of once great bands end up appearing out on the cabaret circuit. The Journeys, Styxs and Foreigners - one or two guys from the original lineups own the name and end up out on tour playing with a bunch of no-name guys to small crowds because sensible people know that it isn't the original band. That's where this GNR farce should be - on the cabaret circuit. Unfortunately there seem to be a lot of people who see the GNR name and don't have the sense to know that it isn't the 1897-1991 GNR. I'm embarrased for such people.
rock and roll?

What are your current thoughts about Kurt Cobain?

Axl: I said I'm going on ChiDem now and he said whatever & walked away other than that I've been busy.
