Yeah, apparently (and I quote from the book by Paul Steyning 'The band that time forgot') Slash and Nikki Sixx were jammin in a hotel room jacked up on heroin. Nikki said he was going to get a guitar from the room nextdoor but didn't come back. Slash went to investigate and found Nikki on the floor looking very blue. Slash phoned for an ambulance but then ran away knowng that he would be surely arrested for drug crimes. So one of slash's more level headed friends picked slash up but before doing so organised a party at his house. He had the foresight to wind every clock in the house back by 2 hours giving slash an alibi with lots of witnesses to back up slash's claims: 'i wasn't in no hotelroom fool'.

Apparently Nikki's heart stopped for 3 minutes and was clinically dead, but was rescusitated by paramedics.

Dunno if its bullshit but that is what the book says. How rock n roll is that.
