According to a World Entertainment News Network story that was posted on a Clear Channel radio station in Battle Creek, MI the new GNR album is slated to drop next month. After going to a few different Clear Channel affiliates it appears that they use this London based news wire for content. If Clear Channel is contracting with this company for news it must have some level of credibility.

This is just speculation on my part but perhaps the GNR camp and label have been so tight lipped about the album coming out to help prevent it from being pirated as long as possible. The longer they wait to service press, radio, and regional sales reps with advance copies of the album the less likely the album is to leak prior to the release date. This may be a possible reason as to why we haven't seen the long sought after press release.

Single/album release dates are usually made public at the same time, and single usually comes at least a month before.

GNR should just head out to Times Square and do a live concert right in the middle there by the MTV studios and that'll be like a Chinese Democracy release party. Surely it would get media attention and that's what they'd need if they were releasing it soon, cuz hardcore fans may know about this album, but I know many others don't. A lot of people I know who like Guns haven't even heard of this album before I started talking to them about it.

dude, this is the most we've had since the 2002 tour, even more if you think about it.

the 2002 tour didn't have the leaks, or an interview until the thing was already started.

The 2002 Asia/Europe tour was preceded by an Axl interview released via press release. The U.S. segment was preceded by the Kurt Loder interview from the MTV Video Music Awards (although I guess that could be considered the end of the Asia/Europe tour).

Axl midas well release it because if he doesn't lose money on leaks -he will on people burning their buddies Chinese Democracy. Just like we all dubbed tapes 15 years ago if we didn't have the cash or didn't care too much for cover-art. Now it's a lot more common to get songs on-line but he's not gonna be able to avoid it. The money to be made is in touring and merchandise Mr. Rose so just put the damn thing out.
