I think the tour a couple years back, and the MTV appearance (which has most non-dedicated fans thinking they suck) have diminished the buzz around Axl a great deal. I hope its huge, my guess is it will be extremely good, but it will take a geat marketing campaign.  Thats right, Axl may have to go on TV and present it in a positive way (not bitter).

thats why they need to release this before the European tour..........a fuckin huge audience that may not buy the album right away, but may after seeing the band perform a bunch of the new songs and buy the album at the venues or right after they leave the concert/festival

I think It will do god damn well, but concerts to back it up on the other hand thats another story.

I think with proper promotion it will do very well.  As long as people are aware of the release date and the history it should sell over a million in the first week easily.  My guess would be about 1.6 million in the first week.

use your illusion did 2 million in the first week, and back then thats amazing, and that too at the time was one of the most anticipated albums ever, i could easily see this selling more than 2 million in its first week out of curiousity alone.  If its good itll keep selling for weeks and might out do UYI in sales, it wont outdo AFD in the first year unless its as good as thriller
