If this album is going to make it out before the end of May then I think that Axl Rose is going to need to become Mr Publicity and very soon. If we pretend that phase 1 of the Chi Dem marketing is nearly over (axl in celebrity hangouts and tour dates planned) and that the objective was to secure a loyal fanbase then I think that it has worked. So what happens now? phase 2 must be recapturing old fans and securing a new generation of gunners and familiarising them with new gnr.

I know its cheesy but I reckon the Wrestlemania contest on April 2nd would be a perfect opportunity to show to the world that he is back and means business (the stones just did the superbowl), or another high profile sports event. Imagine how great an intro would wttj into chinese democracy medley sound (only 3-4 minutes) but just enough: pyros, glitter, lasers, everything. A new generation of kids with parents just old enough to remember them the first time round.

Another thing to do would be to get interviews, get axl's voice out there. Get lots of exclusives on tv and radio. multimedia storm.

Get chinese democracy (the single) finished and get it on a sportscar, superbike advert. The easiest way to crack the UK is to get it on a phone advert, loads of kids will pay attention to that. I think that axl's has shot himself in the foot with this lawsuit with slash n duff because selling his music like 'fast food' is what he needs right now to raise his profile.

I think that just turning up to RIR wont be enough, with dizzy selling the cd out of the back of a car afterwards perhaps. Axl needs to get hungry for this, something I dont think he is anymore. What do you think?

Actually wouldn't be a bad idea for them to play Wrestlemania. The average crowd for wrestling events seems to really like rock and metal type music, and it would introduce Guns to a younger audience. Doubt they'd play at Wrestlemania, but it would get them some exposure.

I could see a song like Chinese Democracy really doing well in an arena like that.

I like your idea to play there but i cant seethem doing it.
We all know Axl is not the best with the public but hes going to have to get our there and get the old fans back and get all the new gnr fans.
