ok i was reading this article on the axl-scott feud on a guitar tab website and their views are very different than ours. The article is old but the messages underneath give us a good view of what the world thinks of axl right now heres a link if anyones interested. (much different than our views   )

yeah I read those too but they just pissed me off.  The general public thinks Axl is a joke, of course they also listen to music like Falloutboy, Black eyed peas, and 50 cent.  What does that tell you about the general public? They are fuckin stupid!

Lets get one thing straight, I hate Scott Weiland.  His music is okay though.  Had some good songs with STP, VR sucks.  But what the fuck is Axl's deal?  Why does he not respond?  That is not the Axl I know and love, not his style at all.  Axl used to blast people better than eminem.  Do you think Axl will just let Scott say these things or will he get the last word/laugh?  Scott's statement wasn't bad, but Axl's lack of a response is what really bothers me.  Also, why would Axl say Slash came to his house in the first place?  Could it be true, why would he make that up?  If he did make it up he knows he would come off looking crazy.

screw these 16 year old Emo lovers. They know shit about good music, as long as an album has at least 10 songs about losing a love or dying inside, they're happy. They wanna see 2 Rock Stars fight it out for fun and ruin both their reps. Axl is above that, to prove these emo shits wrong, Axl doesn't stoop to low levels and poke fun at apposing bands. He does what Axl does best, he beats them down not with fists but with music. Scott Weiland is scared. Hes scared that once Axl releases the monster i hope ChiDem will be that him and the whole of VR will lose out sales to NewGnR. So what does Scott do? he kicks Axl when hes down, pokes fun at Axl when he can't possibly win due to the thousands and millions of Anti Axl people there are out there. So what does Axl do, well hopefully he'll come back with Reviews, Peers and some fans like us singing praises about his Album, believe me i think Axl Rose will have the last laugh in this.

I can't fucking believe some people think Scott is a better song writer than Axl. That's crazy shit.

I am always pushing the new gnr among people I know.
But the most common thing I hear is
1) None of the know about chinese democracy or that axl has been working on it for ten + years.
2) It is not GNR without slash and duff.  The new band is just axl's solo band.

I think alot of people will have this view until the new band can put on new music that stands on its merits and leave the old band in the shadows.

Unfortunately, no matter how good the new music is some people will never accept the new band or music as legit GNR.  I like to compare it to the Van Halen fans that never accepted Sammy Hagar over David lee roth.  I think we will see something similar in some GNR fans with slash and duff

Thats cos too many bands are started or boosted by MTV. was Motorhead helped by MTV? no. Zeppelin, Queen, Metallica, GnR, Hendrix, Stones, U2, NO! Yet people remember these bands not because they are shown on MTV, or cos they are cute.... they remember them because of GOOD MUSIC. Believe me in 30 years half this "MTV Generation" won't be remembered. I'm sorry but i just don't see "Fallout Boy", "The Kaiser Cheifs" or "Funeral for my Friend" getting inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 20 years time

I dont really care and what their saying I'm just suprised at how many people responded to something like that.  Look at guns n roses not even released a song in 13 years and when someone rips on Axl theres about a million people talking bout it.
