I sound like an old man when I say this but I think music has changed so much since I was a kid. The first album I ever bought was appetite back in 1992 when I was 11 years old and this was shortly followed by the illusions. Some of the shite that passes for music nowadays is embarrasing. But that is the state of the industry, the industry which people like axl helped create all those years ago with his influence and rhetoric. The industry which is now based around fighting talk and image and not really about good music anymore.

If you've listened to MTV and VH1 recently, half the songs they play are beats with no music. It's really pathetic. I like MUSIC...and that's exactly what new so called 'music' lacks. That's why it's nice to hear something like these new GNR songs that brings the music back.

Yeah, no shit, "Sombody raped my tapeworm abortion" what the fuck is that. Axl is one of the greatest song writers ever. PERIOD!!

well most people I know haven't heard the leaks and have all these wrong notions and hung up on stupid shit..........for instance.......I can't say how many times I've heard people say.......I hear the new music sounds like shit cause Axl waited to long and now that sound is old..........or heard he has hair plugs cause his hair is gone.....blah.......blah........blah... .............soon as I play them the leaks.....they are surprised and dig it..........some have commented it doesn't sound like GNR to them but they like it...............I think once the music is out...........regular people will flock around Axl's new incarnation of GNR.........Soooooo   Get The Fuckin CD OUT.........hehehe  sorry...please!!!

Well, if Axl would just release the album already, maybe people would be interested in GNR again.  On the day it gets released, half will be fans and half will buy the album out of curiosity(like when people stare at car wrecks while they're driving by).  Alot of people think GNR and Axl are a joke.  10 years is a long time.  Alot has changed with the band.  To the normal everyday person, their beloved Slash and the rest of the boys are gone and replaced by a bunch of musicians that no one has ever heard of-EXCEPT for the KFC guy.  
Now, if Chinese Democracy gets released(hopefully!), and just blows everyone away, the sky is the limit.  But, in my opinion, GNR has one shot at this, and I think Axl knows it and he is making sure there isn't a stone left unturned.  That is why the hardcore fans suffer and the normal everyday fan is saying "I'll believe it when I see it".

Anyway, that's what I think.

yeah today's mainstream has gone to hell.... MTV offered some awesome shit, i remeber being like 4 yrs old lisning to november rain on MTV, good times. Now its this " is this chicken or tuna?" crap. Well there is always Fuse(great music channel, atleast better than MTV).

One thing that really worries me is this: I havn't heard any of the leaks and I don't really want to until the album is done. I get the impression from what I have read that they are mostly slower, more rock ballard type tunes. I hope that there are some more fast tempo, angry rock tunes like chinese democracy. If there aren't, the public that don't know any different may see them as a bit of a Nickelback/bon jovi type band, which would be horrific for the rebirth.

There is a big gap in the market for good rock music, which at present audioslave seem to be occupying.

I think a huge majority of GNR fans think Axl is a botox faced idiot and should die, with a terrible voice. I think a few things he has done is really bad, but I don't think he is so bad...other wise why would I buy tickets to the concert and buy the CD when it's out? :P

What annoys me is i was looking at another forum of were GNR will be playing on there tour and people using that forum are general rock fans but it annoys me cos they all slag GNR and Axl and they dont understand AXL is an amazing song writer and has done so much for the music industry.
