That kick ass part at the begininng, middle, and end of "Better" when Axl sings "No one ever told me when I was alone, they just thought I'd knew better, better"...did anyone at first hearing think it was a chick singing or someone other than Axl. It may sound like a stupid topic, but I have to admit, I have been a fan since I was 7 years old in 1988, and my first thought was that it was a chick singing...crazy! Now, I can definitely tell its Axl. Anyone else have that same thought initially or still ?

Nope I thought it was Axl the first time I heard it. Although live it could be done by someone like Tommy.

I absolutely love Better! unfortunately all i have is about 2:06 of it  :( , i have heard the full version...only a couple of times....just awesome,

I love Axls voice the whole way through the song, the verses are incredible, but i love the singing at the end even more.

I so hope they play it live

someone here said something about mabye Tommy singing the song live, and i thought of this:

how the fuck are they gonna pull off Catcher in the Rye live??

That was me. I noticed that the voice in question finishes as soon as Axl starts the verses etc. So I thought maybe Tommy would do that part live.

i didn't think too much of this song. i liked twat more. the verse is catchy for "better" though.
