Came across this at ticketmaster.com, i know its vague and their is no gauruntee it will be GNR, but it would be a perfect oppurtunity, and its right before rio!! Theres always hope!

Tickets for the 11th edition of the hard-rock festival Ozzfest (music) will continue to roll out in the coming days. This year's bill includes tour namesake Ozzy Osbourne (but only on 10 of the tour's dates), System of a Down, Disturbed, Hatebreed, Lacuna Coil and a "major main stage band to be announced on May 23," according to a press release.

call me crazy but i like SOME disturbed songs "Prayer" "Remember", and "The Game" are all good. system sucks hardcore though

not all of Ozzfest is new metal. Between The Buried and Me are on there and they are one of the most talented bands in music today, if you dont believe me listen to their song "Selkies: The Endless Obsession" and tell me it doesnt kick ass. Theres a lot of good metal/hardcore bands on there too. Strapping Young Lad, Norma Jean, Unearth, not a bad line up. If Ozzy isnt playing a lot of dates this year then GNR would be perfect. Exposure to different audiences, but you know that Ozzfest would be taken over by GNR fans if they were to play.

It makes no sense for GNR to play anywhere before RIR (Lisbon)..Rock in Rio is the perfect come back concert...they also have Madrid, Spain on the 28th right after RIR.

I am still suprised from the 2002 tour why RIRIII was not the first show on the tour.
