Derek Trucks, of the Derek Trucks Band and the Allman Brothers, will not be GnR's new guitarist...
Despite Axl saying that Trucks was his favourite guitarist around at the moment, he will not be touring with GnR this summer. Trucks has been contracted to Eric Clapton for his summer tour and as a result will be unable to tour with GnR.

As of Wednesday, GnR still had no replacement for Buckethead.

not that Finck isn't good, but only Bucket could pull off half that shit.  Bucket is an EXTREMELY talented guy, and Finck and him have TOTALYL different playing styles.

Bucket must return to the fold or this band won't sound or be the same...Buckethead and Brain have a good relationship...hopefully they can work it out but after reading Axl's statement when Bucket left the band I would be very suprised and excited to see him rejoin the band...

The whole band talked deep shit about Izzy when he left, and he rejoined them for some dates in 1993... impossible is nothing (thank you Adidas).
