just checked gunsnroses.us and...

According to cocksalad.com,

"Strong rumours suggest a UK TOUR in the works for July 2006, possible dates in London, Manchester, Cardiff, and more...

More information to come soon!!".

Check back soon for an update on Guns N Roses in the UK.

If they want to use big venues like London Docklands/MEN Arena or a football stadium (Millenium stadium/city of Manchester) then they are gonna need to bring something out to raise their profile over here. If this is confirmed then this is a very positive signal about the album release.

if the uk tour happens ( which i really hope it does) i think the ticket will sell FAST!

It depends where they play. If they play at the Millenium stadium for example (capacity about 70,000ish) then they will need to do something because I don't think they will sell that out just by turning up. Some sort of promotion will be needed.

How big is that? whats the capacity? I hope they dont play at the Hammersmith Apollo, I hate that place. The parking is awful around there.

capacity is 7500, the parking isnt bad around the cia.... it is about 200m or so from millenium staium and has 2 carparks right next to the arena. one mulitstory and one normal.

i hope they play hammersmith its a great venue small and great atmosphere.

I suppose they could do a couple of nights in each venue if they are gonna be that small. Axl's voice is gonna be fuct at the end of all this.

I noticed that there are no venues in Germany over the European tour. I bet the police are worried that rock music will cause mass riots during the world cup. Gnr cancelling their tour and the world cup being cancelled when England are clearly gonna win it. disaster.

I ahve a feeling they will play Birmingham, UK, aswell, because that was a rumoured date in 2002 which was cancelled.

Ps in other threads, someone says theyre expecting 'shit going down today'. Is this the news thats coming?

I hope that isn't the news. If a strong rumour is considered news nowadays then whats it gonna be when the album has an official release date. It might be cos the West coast of America is about 8-9 hours behind us and they are all sleeping.

God i hope this is true! Ive been looking at going everywhere to see them, but everywhere i look to stay is sold out! no hotels in Ireland left, none in Portugal left, If they are gonna play some dates across the UK this would be awesome!

Don't bother with a hotel. Do what I'm doing and stay up all night drinking in a bar and get the first flight back ready and as fresh as a daisy for the England vs Paraguay game the next day. Rock n roll.
