The dutch leg of the European tour has a wierd picture with ONLY axl duff and slash on there. No one else like izzy, matt, even steven.

Now of course, im not claming anything, but just thought it was an interesting find, especially with the rumours flying around.

No it most fucking certainly would not. I would rather have Brian May than have Slash return. I couldn't care less about Duff, great bassist but he can go fuck a flyblown sheep for all i care.

Why does everyone give Duff and Slash a hard time. Axl, Duff, and Slash collectively caused the bands split, along with a few other things, wo why give them so much abuse.

The fact is Slash is a damn site better than any other guitarist in gunn n roses right now, and has proved it.

Put bucket on stage and he could take Slash and Izzy at the same time. I don't hate Slash or Duff or any other GnR members, nowhere near it in fact, but i'd rather see a new incarnation of GnR than see Axl defeat the purpose of making this cd for the last 13 years on regrouping with the old GnR, IMO Brian May is a perfect fit, i doubt he has any interest in joining GnR but if he does i will most definitely be happy, Rock could literally reign king again, his solo in CITR is absolutely beautiful.. a masterpiece.

Ahh now i see your point.

I agree i wouldn't want Axl to piss all of this down the pan. Ideally, I'd like to see him release it under a new name, and then leave 'guns n roses' free to reunite and make some more stuff.

I can see why you like bucket. He's technically skilled, but if bands were judged on technical skills, then most of the death-metal bands would be known as the best in the world. And we don't want that, do we?

Slash writes brilliant sweeping solo's with feeling. Buckets good too. I guess its personal preference, but we shouldn't judge on technical skills.

You ever see KISS Unplugged?
KISS fan or not, you could see, years n years later the boys have playing together, the chemistry that the original members had. Being on the sidelines and having a more than slight distaste for drama, I think its sad that EGOs cant be set aside. Look at Aerosmith. Rumor is that they dont really like each other much. They record quality stuff, play short tours, and stay together. Look at the eagles in their reunion tour.

If there was a get together, Axl, Slash, Izzy and Duff would make 85% of the original band. Thats what has most of us here. Methinks its too much to hope for though, lol..

I agree. I'd much rather see the new band. They are way better musically than the old lineup. Finck is an amazing guitarist who I'd much rather see than Slash. Buckethead I'm not to keen on, it seems to me everything he plays is very similar. It's a case of "Look how fast I can play these scales". Technically incredible but Emotionally Lacking.

anyone who thinks gnr would be better off without slash and duff obviously hasn't been listening for too long. they also can't realize or appreciate what each individual was able to bring to the to table and meld and make some of the most intense music, bluesy music, beautiful music, or punk music.  they were every thing rolled into one.  to tell you the truth they didn't do anything new, however they perfected it, and no one past or present has been able to capture what they had. don't bash slash, duff or any one.  axl is a true musical genius. there is no denying that. and there is no doubt that this album will be phenomenal.  yet i know that if a tour took place with the original members, and they just played old songs it wouldn't even matter, cause people would still go shit fuckin crazy.  weird things happen. a man can dream. i'm still waiting on this goddamn cd. just my opinion.  sorry for the rant

if you want my dream lineup for the new tour here it is:
axl
slash
duff
izzy
matt- adler, for as good as he is/was, would o.d. two shows into the tour

wake up!!!!!!!! it's it's time to die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All this crap about old line V new line up! Sorry but for some of us there is just no competition OLd line up all the way.

Seeing GNR in 1992 was out of this world, the chemistry on satge was unbelivable, even thought they hated each other off stage by then!

Sorry but that is the only line up for GNR. Axl need Slash and Duff just as much as they need him!

Anyway rant over the most important thing we have to remember is we all want the same thing, a tour and Chi Dem.

I'm sorry but when I read stuff like "Robin Finck is an amazing guitar player" I can't help it: I just have to laugh. If you had any knowledge in music, you'll hear that robin finck fucks up every solo he plays : he's out of key, he doesn't care about intonation, his bends aren't accurate at all and most of the time he misses notes,.....
buckethead has amazing skills on the guitar but he never expresses any emotion whatsoever when playing a solo.
I'm sorry but I still think Slash is a better guitar player than these two. :finger:

i heard something about derek trucks. and for as good as he is, i've seen him w/ abb and he's got as much emotion as bucket does on stage. he wouldn't be a good fit. and i don't think he would ever leave abb. plus he's got a solo career.
