This is music not nuclear physics .. experimenting with musical ability is part of the occupation. I'm sure it will be well received whatever it is and even if it doesn't get the greatest acclaim, it sure beats not putting anything out that really tarnishes his image .. jmho  :)

so you're saying that if there were 100 songs we'd have three albums. And because there are 0 (zero) albums there are 0 (zero) songs.

If i may be so bold as to calling you a moron......you sir, are a moron.

u are fuckin stupid or what? cant u read?

i say thay those 100 songs or wateva da fuckin number of songs created in this era is...are totally SHIT

if not...we wud have seen CD in 2001-02...a sequel in 2004-05 and another one in 2006-07

Assuming "not released" = "shit" is the biggest and most popular assumption made by new GNR haters...and yes, your bias opinion is obvious.   Its amazing that some people so intensely stuck in the past have the vision to see into the future, comparing their old dreams to self-constructed stereotypes of unreleased material.

It's always nice to see people who hate GNR hanging out on the GNR message boards.  That says something special in itself.
Heroism on command, senseless violence, and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism -- how passionately I hate them!

Quote from: "2NaFish"
christ, its shakespeare people.

O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father, and refuse thy name;
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I’ll no longer be a Capulet.

...

’Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself though, not a Montague.
What’s Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O! be some other name:
 What’s in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call’d,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name;
And for that name, which is no part of thee,
Take all myself.

The moral of the story? If you've got a problem with them being called Guns N' Roses just think of them as something else. The music is all the matters not the name.

only a scot would quote shakespeare in a gn'r discussion board lol  :D

Okay, just explain why would Axl spend countless time, energy, and money on recording roughly 100 songs and just have them sit there.  I mean initially, do you think he conscientiously thought "I plan on recording 70+ songs and doing nothing with them."  I don't know the whole story, who knows he may have scrapped about the same amount during the Illusions.  Nothing wrong with scrapping material, like I said virtually all artists do it, but they don't scrap their best work, they scrap the shit.  I do believe Chinese Democracy could be the best album yet.  The fact is there are a lot of scrapped songs.  They were all recorded initially with a purpose, now they are locked away, why?  Do you agree that he didn't record those for fun, he didn't record them to waste resources, then that leaves very few motives in recording those songs.  Motives were to make an album, no album indicates that Axl was not pleased with his own work.  Not many possible explanations.  I know if Axl thought that those songs were as good or better than the Illusions material we would all be hearing them now.  Axl claims to be a perfectionist, how come with the old line up he was so much more action oriented?  Thing is he is just afraid of the responses he will get, if this album doesn't meet expectations he will lose face and look overrated all these years-I personally disagree.  But, that is the risk he assumed when continuing his career especially with the GNR name.

I believe it took many a year to get UYI finished, and it was over-produced, in turn showing the beginning of Axl's domineering of GnR, turning his music into masterpieces took time, but this time it's serious, GnR doesn't have slash or duff and aren't as youthful, Axl's prime was back in '91, he is most likely wary of releasing it because fans will not approve because Slash and Duff will not have their stamp of approval on it. So he has spent many a year attempting to create a masterpiece, because it has taken so long critics have been on Axl's ass day and night, no? so now he has to make it better than just a masterpiece. It's gotta be the musical equivalent to a Picasso. When the tour kinda failed in '02 that would have hurt Axl's ego, he wouldn't be used to half filled stadiums and the critics were all over him, moreso. Attacking his appearance and music, hence why he headed for the hills to regroup and finish the masterpiece. I for one love the old GnR, but let's face it, the new GnR is much better. Definitely live they play better, maybe not as exciting to watch, but twice as good to listen too.

I dunno i kinda lost it in there... disregard most of it  :retard:

I never bothered reading the whole post. The first few lines were enough for me to answer; the rest was just the same old jabbering and whining

And the answer to your question of why hasn't axl released the album is i don't know. There could be any one of a thousand answers. However simply because i do not know does not mean that your guess (read : ONE HUNDRED PERCENT GUESS, SHOT IN THE DARK, PULLED OUT OF YOUR ARSE, NOT A FUCKING SCOOBY DOO EFFORT) is correct in any way whatsoever.

And weebazil - shakespeare was english. I'll quote some Robert Burns if the chance comes around though.
