all right, i've just look everywhere and i must confess that there is no mention of real chords in the UYI I (i was thinking of the november rain's break). But to me it sounds like an exception and i'm still sceptical (maybe sampling but i doubt)... ok i'm wrong !!
but i still don't like the keyboard most of the time.

Axl said on the making of NR he did the whole song by synth... I think (could be wrong) the only time they used real stuff on NR was 92 VMAs

Erm, Aerosmith jives some keys occassionally, just another FBN keyboard band to add to the list I guess.  Deep Purple .. AFn'MEN  :)

i admit that you pointed out some few good bands but most of the time keyboards lost  the incisive part of the riff. No one can deny that the first 1980' period of queen is less good, partially due to the keyboards remplacing the 'no synth' mention of their debut. I don't like when the guns are using keyboards but i like when real violins are used for exemple. Dizzy still sucks. The synth period of deep purple is not as good as their raw rock debuts and opeth ...  :puke: well i can't hear it but it is personal tastes anyway.

yeah i pretty much agree. the doors are usually recognized as having good keyboards which i guess i'd agree with it, but i generally don't like keyboards. they seem out of place when next to a guitar and drumset. (imo)

i didn't like keyboards in rock untill i really analyzed what Dizzy does. Now i love them if they fit in context ( obviously, metallica shouldn't consider it), but i don't like dizzy with pitman.

Consider this, lets say they play november rain, thats axl, dizzy and pittman on keys, and now with buckethead out, i mean, more keys than guitars in guns n' roses, i mean, try telling that to someone in 1988
