Here's some pictures to go along with actual song titles rumored to be on the Chinese Democracy album. Interesting to see exactly what Axl singing about these days. He seems like writing songs about movies, countries, books and of course ex-girlfriends...
CHINESE DEMOCRACY IN PICTURES
CHINESE DEMOCRACY
Axl said he wrote this song after seeing the movie "Kundun." China has been a dictatorship since 1949.
THE BLUES
One of Axl's favorite new songs from CD.
MADAGASCAR

This song about racism gets it's title from the country, not the kids film. :p
CATCHER IN THE RYE
Axl's song about the book everyone had to read during gradeschool.
BETTER
Another love song about one of Axl's ex's. He's stated in interviews that many of the relationship songs on the album are about his breakup with model Stephanie Seymour.
THERE WAS A TIME/T.W.A.T.twat (twt) noun.
1. Vulgar Slang: The vulva.
2. Offensive & Vulgar Slang: A woman or girl.
About Stephanie Seymour? Only Axl knows. Could be about Erin Everley
Other things T.W.A.T. stands for...
The War Against Terrorism
The Warm As Toast Cafe (in Cardiff, Wales, UK)
The Western Area Tourers (motorcycle club)
The Word Association Thread (game)
There We Are Then
Traveling-Wave Amplifier Tube
I.R.S.
Axl's version of "Out Ta Get Me" at age 40.
THE GENERAL
Another political song?
ATLAS SHRUGGED
Atlas fought with the Titans in the war against the deities of Mount Olympus. Evidently Axl got into Greek mythology over the years.
PROSTITUTE
No telling what this is about. Ex-girlfriends, groupies, the press, himself?
OKLAHOMA
Axl wrote this song about his breakup with Erin Everly around the time of the Oklahoma City bombing. People think that "Rhiad And The Bedouins" is actually "Oklahoma" but I think they're two different songs.
THYME
Thyme is a herb. It's often used to flavour meats, soups and stews. Evidently Axl thought of this song while cooking.
PROSPEROUS CHILI
Not about the famous American dish, but the country of Chili. At least I assume so. Unless Axl was writing while cooking again.
FRIEND OR FOE
Maybe Axl should call this album "Cliche Democracy" since most of the song titles sound like they've been used countless times before for songs, self help books or movies. (exs: Never Had It/ Today, Tomorrow, Forever, This I Love, etc...)
LEAVE ME ALONE
Another cliche. I think Axl's request has come true on this. Since he's been a virtual recluse for 13 years. This song brings unwelcome comparisons to Michael Jackson who used to the same song title 20 years ago.
SEVEN
The only thing Axl loves more than putting his songs on movie soundtracks is to name his songs after movies titles.
ZODIAC
The Chinese zodiac. Sensing a theme yet?
SUCKERPUNCHED
There was an SNL skit a long while back about a game show called "Sucker Punch" where the host would suddenly come up and hit the contestants in the stomach. I'm guessing this song is about Axl's love of the media.
ZIP IT
Axl's been watching a lot of DVD's evidently. Borrowing this title from Dr. Evil in Austin Powers. Writer's block is a horrible thing.
