I remember doing something about this in Bio. Males, monkeys, and all creatures who live on land (well msot) have testicles. This means that the testicles are hanging in a sack ont he exterior of their body.
Creatures that don't live on the land (again most) have testes, which are basically testicles but are inside them and not visible on the outside. They don't have proper sex either. The female lays lots of eggs and then the male soon releases his sperm to fertilise the eggs. The only problem si bigger fish might eat the eggs.
