Good Acoustic/ Ballad songs (bands)
« on: April 23, 2006, 04:17:54 PM »
I'm looking for bands with good ballads or acoustic songs.

These are a few bands that I think do a good job at this:
black label society
alice in chains
dream theater
Godsmack
(Green Carnation)
lynyrd skynyrd
Metallica
of  course Guns n' Roses

Or songs like:
Fall to Pieces (Velvet Revolver)
You Got No Right (Velvet Revolver)
etc. I could go on for 2 more hours but I think you catch my drift.

Something in this direction. But no ballads like the terrible Not Enough from van Halen.

power ballads?  or just ballads?

if you want power ballads, check out:

Aerosmith-I Don't Want to Miss a Thing, Angel and most of their 80s/90s material
Motley Crue-You're All I Need, Without You
GN'R-Patience, November Rain, Don't Cry, The Blues
Weezer-Only in Dreams
KISS-Forever
hair metal bands in general (Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Def Leppard etc)

acousticly, Dave Matthews Band, Van Halen's Spanish Fly, Ozzy's Dee, and different jam bands (Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Phish, OAR etc)
