Budapest tensions?
« on: June 02, 2006, 03:52:35 AM »
Anybody have any more details on what 'tension' there was regarding the Budapest gig last night? Apparently Axl arrived late and Fink was pissed off and had a massive strop, according to the guns email (from sladdi i think). Anybody at the gig give us anymore info?

Damn! I knew this whole tour was too good to be true! No matter how hard Axl tries, things keep going wrong. In 2002, his tour imploded. Let's hope that doesn't happen this year.

From the newsletter gigi was talking about:

"As reported by fans who attended the show in Budapest yesterday (May 31, 2006), there has been some trouble within the band. They were scheduled to play at 10pm, but Axl arrived at the airport at 11pm, so that they started the show at about 11:45pm. During the first songs, Robin looked angry and smashed three or four guitars. During Mr Brownstone he did not even play, but grabbed a mic and did as if he were the singer. During Better, he just left the stage, leaving Axl looking for him and heading backstage to take him back on."

Man, he must have been pretty mad about something. And mad on Axl, because if he grabbed a mic and acted like him, he must have tried to piss him off.

And at Rock in Rio (May 27) there also seemed to be some problems, as Tommy smashed his bass during the first song.

Goddamnit...

Looks like a publicity stunt, smells like a publicity stunt, must therefore be a publicity stunt.

It could be publicity, but fancy not playing during better! Seems a bit drastic to me. I really hope this doesnt get fucked up.

I was there ...I had been waiting for 14 years to see them again in Budapest so I was ready to wait long hours that night.
but a lot of guys thought the show would start at 9 ...they got pissed off by the delay( that Axl apologised for)..so and the bastard media too.

The band made a tremendously beautiful show!!
but the shitty media only wrote about the delay...but who cares ..

this was the best show for me in my life.

Robin smashed his gitar because it did sound during better ..but Ron and Richard took his role.November Rain solos was amazing..Robin went to the crowd so many times.

Axl was GREAT.

GUNS N ROSES ARE BACK!!!
22.05.92- Budapest Népstadion, Hungary
31.05.06- Budapest Sportaréna, Hungary

Honestly though he has all day to arrive at these shows.
Though in my opinion it's probably just a part of the show at this stage!!

I can't wait to hear the outcome of this...

...Either outcome I will be pissed unless it was nothing and everything is good.
