merck is lying about checkmate not being axl or gnr
« on: June 06, 2006, 01:23:48 AM »
I dont know why he has to lie. Its clearly Axl. If it was not then why did he ask razz to track down the guy with the clip and cd with the song on it. Also, if its not gnr, why dont the lyrics show up on a simple lyric search as another band? He has mislead  before and he is doing it again. Which leads me to believe that the other clip of closing in on you could be legit too.

I agree totally!!!  He has misled us before.  Remember he said Buckethead was still in the band when he wasn't (Just to name one instance that come to mind).  That has to be Axl

if we'd beleive every word from Gn'R management we would be convinced Gn'R ruled the world for the past decade.

If you were him you would have done the same thing. Axl doesn't want these things leaking out. Axl is Mercks client. The problem needs to be taken care of as quietly as possible. If he lies and tells everyone it is fake people will pass it off as fake. If it got out it was real it would cause mass hysteria among GnR fans making the problem bigger. A bigger problem is harder to solve.

Honestly I haven't heard it and don't care either way. If it was a whole song now that would be a different story. :D

I think it might have something to do with the old band.
the drumming sounds matt sorumish.
I think we should try contacting old band members such as matt or duff, to see if they had anything to do with these.
Finck... you fag!  :( why did you have to go...?

Not sure if you saw my little theory in the other thread, but i think that the song could infact be:

The General.

The lyrics indicate a battle, or a war to me.

'No effort spared" showing determination

the idea of saving something, i.e theres a reason we're fighting for.

An army officer is a General right?

And those drums.....well i remember Uncle Axl informing us that The General is brains baby once.

But who knows, hey?

Brain wasn't even in the band in 99, Assuming that the song is from those sessions.

Dude im woth you on this, Was it it Merck who released the press release saying that Slash turned up at Axl's house in November 2005 announched and drunk, saying he wanted to re-join GNR. Then Axl said in Jan that he hasnt seen Slash in over 10 years

it wasnt merck.
it was the lawyer of W.Axl Rose.
there has been a number of rumors about that incident but it still remains mysterious for me.

first the press release was released. it stated that slash came to axls house.
then someone said that the "slash part" was NOT in the original press release
then someone said that merck confirmed that Slash DID come to Axls house (and I'm not sure if it was BS or not).

Weiland responded to the whole issue.
Duff responded to the release.
Weiland removed his response.
Slash kept his mouth shut till 2 weeks ago.

Axl didnt say a word about it.
Finck... you fag!  :( why did you have to go...?
