Video for the Single?

How are they ever gonna shoot a video for the single if the album is sapposed to drop early to late fall?

Im guessing the album is going to be released once the European tour is over and then tour around North America after the album drops.

I really hope the video isn't all concert footage

i had an idea for a TWAT video (Copied and pasted)

Starts out with Axl doing the dance he does then when “Social Class and cigarettes” part starts it cuts to Black and white footage of Lafayette Indiana like the school and stuff then moves to axl on stage singing the song. then  old footage of him and Stephanie and him and Erin. Quick cuts of Axl and the band doing the song. Then axl stood outside a TV store like in Jungle looking at the same set of Tvs hosting old footage of Gn’R. then back to Axl singing.

When the first solo starts, Axl drops the mic and heads for the Backstage curtain although when he opens it it’s a sunset on top of the hill where Axls house is. Cuts to robin playing the solo. After solo where Axl sings “I would do anything for you” hes singing it on top of the hill looking out to the sunset, arms out stretched and cut to fortus or whoever playing the second solo with a spark shower behind them as they play with cut backs to Axl in front of the sunset zooming slowly in on him.

End solo and Fortus/Finck (Whoever) slams his guitar on the floor as the band starts the “There was a time” chants and cuts between Axl singing to the sunset and the band on the stage playing. Then as the music ends you see axl walk out of shot and the camera pans in on the sunset. Fade to Black.

I wish the first single to be "Madagascar". And it could have old images from the band, Axl walking trough a corridor and seeing news on the wall about the band and all the people who said shit about him etc.. It would be a emotional moment, mainly in the chorus "I won't be told anymore..."

I like the idea you had of the first video being There Was A Time.  For Madagascar the corridor with all the screens showing news clips of people talking about axl or making jokes about how long it takes to get the album out.  Only thing I would change would be (and please forgive me as I only have the Rock In Rio III version of Madagascar and can't remember the part from MSG in 2002) where it cuts to the guitars and MLK and Michael Jay Fox have sound bites of radio dj's and the news talking about Axl.  I dunno, to me it just fits.

Maybe guys , it is like this , on the cd tour 2002 , they never come to europe because it fucket up, maybe they doing that tour now instead!
And then release the C-D and then goes on a big big world tour , like UYI tour.

So what do you think about my theori?

I didn't realize the tour was over at the end of July and then starting again the end of September. They have all kinds of time for a good video. Im just hoping its not all concert footage but im quite sure it wont be now that they w ill have almost 2 months to shoot it

i agree, since their tour is over at the end of july, and then they start their usa tour in late september they should have plenty of time to work on a video, or so we hope lol

personally, i dont really like it - a proper ball to the wall rock single with a bad ass - watch this kind of vid (concert clips of band members smashing stuff in concerts....) - something close to the YCBM video.

They filmed the video for the first single - which I truly believe (and hope) will be "IRS" - in China in 2001 or 2002.  (Or maybe it was something like "Chinese Democracy" (the song) though, as that would probably be more appropriate, if the Government would allow it.)  I do seem to remember someone having a picture of Axl, Buckethead, and Robin stood on an open dirt track as a moped rode off into the distance, or maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me?

Maybe it will be kind of like when Wham! did for the "Freedom" video, which was filmed in China.
