Live Era 87-93
« on: June 25, 2006, 07:39:40 AM »
Sorry if this has been answered before, or if its the wrong place to ask...  :)

However I was wondering, does anyone know the venues Live Era was recorded from? It doesnt say on the album and I've always wondered?

Thanks!

there are differences because live era was heavily edited and re-recorded at parts.

Many of the vocals were re-recorded in the studio. That's why certain songs may sound different. I still love Live Era though.

Thanks so much for the replies and information!!  :)

Just wondering, what was the thinking behind not actually releasing the venues on the CD? Is there any particular reason for doing this?

Again, many thanks!! :D

for this reason right here:  Many of the vocals were re-recorded in the studio. That's why certain songs may sound different.

Ah ok. I assume that was Axl's decision to clean up the songs?

Its only on the Japanese release, although I think you can get it on the vinyl release in the US/UK.

Live Era is such a BAD live album. That's certainly not how you do justice to a band.
