Will Chinese Democracy Ever Be Highly Acclaimed???...

We've all heard the new Gn'R songs and they're pretty good, better than a lot of hard rock that is out there at the moment.

However, do you feel that no matter how good the album will be, it will not be highly acclaimed (even when it may deserve to be) because of the already negative attitudes towards the new Gn'R.

I kinda feel the album will be very good, not amazing and not poor, but it's not going to get a sufficient rating from the majority of magazines, TV and online reviews. For example, VR's album got an average of 4/5 from most reviews that I read, from a variety of media sources, I think CD will be similar in terms of quality (if not slightly better) but will only average 3/5?

What do you peeps reckon?

Especially if a record released under the name Guns N Roses is full of epics and ballads or nu metal sounding stuff - Rock n Roll is what we need.

I think we are going to get A LOT of epic ballads. As much as I think it will be a great album, I really doubt that we will get a straight-up rock and roll song, with a blues influence. The closest they get may be the title track. As good as better is, it doesn't have  that influence.

Yeah i know :\  You'd think that Fortus' bluesy feel combined with Tommy's punk rock feel, that you'd find something like WTTJ/YCBM esque songs. :\ Or with Izzy around maybe? but thats pure speculation and hope!
