I think out of this whole thread I agree with you most.  I think out of all the songs I have heard thus far it will be on par with any GNR record.  I really like everything and I love the fact that Axl is willing to take a risk and push the sound in a different direction-that is what makes him more than anything else such an amazing musician.  He is going in an unseen direction by innovating and composing as he did all his career.  As for VR and Contraband-I really was excited when I heard about that CD, however after listening to it I was sorely disappointed.  It had a few descent songs that was it.  I think CD will be similar to UYI 1/2 in the sense it has sounds/songs coming from all different directions.  I think it will be an amazing CD filled with a handful of rockers, some industrial influenced stuff, and some epic ballads.  Axl wants to acheive two things with this CD, number one would be showing he was the true ingredient of GNR, and secondly changing the face of rock once again and securing his place in the hall of fame.  Sadly, no matter how good it is I think every critic will say "Not worth 13 years."  Which to me is irrelevent.
