I dont think it's weird at all.  I think it's ridiculously stupid and made by an ignorant mother fucker who only likes the song because of the derogatory term for african americans that keeps being repeated.  Whoever made it needs their ass kicked by a gang of black panthers.

I'm sorry if I take the issue of racism seriously.  The lackadaisical attitude towards the "N Word"  and other racist remarks are one the reasons (note I only said one) the world is as fucked up as it is and one of the reasons why ignorant people continue to use terms to degrade someone of an ethnic race and think it's funny.

Please allow me to enlighten some of you Europeans who may not (fortunately)have been   exposed to the ghetto and hip hop culture as much as i've been. :\

Anywho I know Axl got a lot of shit for using the word in 89 but to me it sounds (and the title even says niggAZ) like Axl is saying niggaz.Now i don't know how common it was in 89 since i was just a young gun but its okay to call anyone now a nigga. Its not the same anymore as the derogatory NiggER which still today is offensive and you can get your ass kicked for. Nigga or friends being "my Niggaz" took the power away from the latter pronunciation and made it street and "cool" if you will.

I work with some people who say whats up nigga to me and and i can say the same back and its cool. Black, white, puerto rican it don't matter. Maybe Axl was just ahead of his time and meant niggaz as in "people" (i seriously doubt it since he talks about gold chains but now we can at least try to defend our Uncle)
