dude i'm pretty sure there's a Guns N' Roses version where it's in standard tuning and the first 1/2 is the old band playing it live and the second 1/2 is the new band in the studio.
my bad broseph
I think that over the last 10 years or so Axl has changed his sound over and over again. That is one thing that makes his voice so special. All of the different styles that he can pull off. Im sure he has been able to make his voice sound different many times over the years. And so saying this I believe that he has all different styles covered. The reason for the change now is because of the poor reception he got in 02 for his voice. He has come back and sounds more raw and sleazy, its difficult because people like him to sound rough and raw, but they want him to hit the high notes too. He cant always do it,. Never has been able to. Sometimes yeah...and it is magic. That is one reason I think he is such a perfectionist in the studio. He wants to get the right vocal sound for the right song. And it cant always be done in one day. It may take days of screaming his ass off or something I dont know. Maybe not even talking for days and then working on something. His voice is definately fragile. It comes and goes very easily. I dont know...I'll shut up now. What do you think?
Well, a few things:- The Boston 2002 Promo had studio samples (seconds of them) from Chinese Democracy, Madagascar, The Blues and they had a soulful rasp.- The ending of Rocket Queen on Live Era is a studio re-record from 1999 (no debates, please) and it doesn't really sound like 2002, it's high and pretty clean though.- Sweet Child O Mine ending from Big Daddy credits is newer vocals and they sound like the Axl who is touring now.- Anywhere else in Live Era that was redone and isn't as obvious, I don't know. He's always had that voice in the studio but touring... and it started to pop up again in MSG 2002 if I am not mistaken.
he was probably not killing his voice on tour, but saving it for the album.
It's not reasonable in my opinion.
You were raped by your father as a child huh? you seem to have lost the function to be optimistic unlike the rest of the board, do us all a favour, renew ties with your father and spend more of your time with him rather than wasting space here, k?
