Well, when I watch the old GNR DVD's I also got the feeling I "was there" :)
I also went to graspop, didn't get to Holland because I had exams at university :(

It's nice that foreigners could follow this show over the Internet. I hope there will be some more occasions like this in the future :)

I was at the concert last night, did they ever show up and play? I have been looking everywhere to see what happened as we left because it was starting to get rough out in the lawn and we had some kids with us... I guess I will be unhappy either way (if they played or not) because I sat through 9 hours of music I did not like for the one hour I would have seen of gnr and then had to leave... BS!

I'm saddened to hear that you had to leave the show early and thus didn't get to see GN'R perform. However, I'm pleased to hear that your priorities were in the right order and that you removed the children from the lawn section. I believe that was a very wise decision on your part.

I was at the show myself and I don't think I would have felt comfortable in that type of situation either... especially not with children. If GN'R hadn't taken the stage when they did, I can only imagine that things would have gotten much worse. Once again, and for what it's worth... I feel you made the right decision.

Anyway, I'm not sure if you live in the greater Los Angeles area, but if you do... then hopefully you'll get another chance to see them perform in December at either of the two Gibson/Universal Amphitheatre shows. Tickets are on sale now for both nights.   :)

Cheers,
W.R.
