Who are you to decide if GnR need two or three or more guitar players???
I also saw the new GnR live and I don't think there were too many people onstage! This is bullshit!
I like all of them and I need them!

"need".
well, the arrangement as it is right now is a wonderful band. They solved the "too-many-people-onstage" problem very well by putting the keyboards/drums up on the "1st floor". The 5 on the stage itself make a great show and everyone of the 8 has his own important input. by working together so good, they really produce a sound, not many bands can offer.

I am sorry to be so dense but I've been thinking about this for awhile and it always bothered me why the hell does GN'R need 8 musicians? Now that Finck and Fortus take on alot more responsibility, isn't Bumblefoot sorta redundant? And do they reall need 2 keyboard players out there considering this is supposedly a rock band?
From a media point of view, it gives the band's critics more ground to make fun of the band, calling them a "circus" and what not. From a business perspective, it is probably pretty bad revenue-wise when you have to pay so many people fat paychecks.

Doesn't Chris deal with synths and Dizzy do the piano shit? either way, Bumblefoot is not redundant, they need a talented shredder for their new music, he does the job. I doubt that Richard or Robin could shred like Bucket or Bumblefoot  I mean... I can't see Robin even attempting to shred.

Their new music is alot more complex, perhaps in songs we have not heard he needs the extra musicians to deal with everything going on. Stop bitching, they've had 8 musicians for at least 5 years now.

they were, but they never attempted breakdown live i believe and Coma live was rare and not great, cuz the studio guitars are probably dubbed or whatever making them more powerful - infact, i think in one vid of it, you can see Slash's E6 string  break!!!

Nowadays, Guns would rip that song up!!!!

Ahahaha, Pitman owns :retard:

I love Pitman jokes, oh well. Btw 8 is enough, guns could still survive without BBF and Pitman, but its not over crowded or anything, but they dont need anymore.

errr... whats wrong with 8 members? Lynyrd Skynyrd had/has 8 members and.... Freebird anyone?! they never had "Too Many Guitarists"... surely it can't hurt to have more guitarists to add more depth to tracks and more solos to songs? Hell Axl could hire 20 guitarists but as long as the music sounds good i ain't particularly bothered.

Hey all!   :)

Pittman isnt actually an official member of the band, but they use him onstrage to work his wizardry with parts of songs like the Madagascar quote section, he COULD do it offstage - but why bother not having him on stage? Hed works just as hard as everyone else and deserves as much credit.

The songs sound ace with three guitarists too - Bumblefoot is a musical god and easily the best of the three, and you need someone whos that bad ass to head up the rythms for a band like GnR, he's easily one of the best guitarists around.

Pittman IMO works in the "cheese" department doing all things un-rock n' roll. Dizzy is enough if he is good enough to be considered a keyboardist he should be able to do all Pittman does. I'm not crazy about BumbleBitch either. He's too nice and tacky to be in GnR. I don't care how good he plays and his guitar is hideous!
What this means to me is more than i know you believe."
