Well, Buckethead's work is still on CD if i'm not mistaken, so when CD does come out, you'll be eating your words whpprsnpprr, Buckets solo's are gonna rip a new ass in slash's solo's.

Apples to Oranges man
If you're into Buckethead that's cool but to say Slash's solos were weak in GNR is an ignorant statement plain and simple.
I'm not even going to get into why.  If you don't know already then no convincing will help you to understand.
I suppose you think Robin actually plays Slash's solos better than he did too

i think he ment it sounded weak because of the backing... the backing under the solo is more fat now...

Rods to Cones .. Slash is a talented guitarist and any jerk who says they are better than the original Gn'R needs their head examined.

The new Gn'R (or some of them) do the older songs serious justice esp. with a real virtuoso now in the band, jmho.

That's Respect, and I am not a happy Slash camper right now  ;)

I reread it.  It sounds like he was saying both were weak

Never said Slash's solos were weak, just that they don't impress me like Bucketheads do. I don't think that Robin plays them better, maybe if he tried to nail them rather than be such an emotional stage performer he could, but I do think he can write better.

But certainly from my point of view Buckethead is an amazingly talented guy, from what i've heard he may have produced some fucking incredible solo's for CD too...
