ive only seen a couple people with gnr shirts but when i wear mine or im taking about them people usually say yeah guns n roses is great but those people only have liike a song or two of gnr lol they suck cuz theyre missing out!!

One of my friends got me into rock music about 1 1/2-2 years ago and told me to download some GNR, so i did and i was hooked :lol:

I grew up with them, as long as i can remember theres always been Guns. My parents were huge fans themselves so basically i was subject to G N' R since Appetite first came out in 87 when i was 3. Now im just short of 22 ive seen Guns 10 times and met Axl and my parents are now soooo jealous of me :D

well it's some time ago, my mom always told me that she liked a song that is written by Bob Dylan but isn't played by him but by another band.. I found it on the internet, it was the studio version of KOHD, I also loved this song, I searched for some other songs of this band and fell in love with SCOM, after that I downed WTTJ, PC, The Blues, Madagascar and LALD. That were the only songs I listened, after a while I downed more and more songs. I didnt listen to the studio versions anymore cuz I fell in love with their live performances, and now they're back I only listen to GN'R, all Live performances, mostly from 87-93 and 2006, but also some songs from '01-'02.

Hmm, it appears that I'm a bit older than some of you...  Okay, A LOT older, LOL...

"Appetite for Destruction" came out when I was a freshman in high school in the late 1980's.  That was the heydey of heavy metal, and if you were lucky enough to have cable TV back then, you spent Saturday night watching "Headbangers Ball" on MTV.  "Welcome to the Jungle" was HUGE on MTV.  The best thing about it was that all manner of metalheads -- from hair band fans to thrash/speed metal fans -- were into it.  GNR became one of the few bands we could all agree upon.  Looking back, I find it a bit ironic how a band so angry and anarchic could be so unifying, but hey, that's what GREAT MUSIC does, it UNITES...  And it LASTS...  That's why thousands of copies of "Appetite for Destruction" are still sold every year, almost 20 years after it was originally released.

 I dont think I could have said it better myself. I was also a freshman in school when Appetite came out. I played it in the Gym...I will never forget..Over the loudspeakers and got put in detention and nobody new what the hell I was playing. But like three months later everyone was into it and was asking me about them. I did a Murial on the Artroom wall of Appetite For Destruction's cover Art in my junior year. I was a complete stoner.Lol

my old man put it on for me when i was about 13 and all i remember is him saying "wait till u here this" ,it just blew me away had never heard an album as kick ass in my life and till this day i have never heard a better album, it remains in my mind as the greatest album to date!  :nod:

it was my step dad when we went away to greece he was goin on about em and i bought appetite for destruction in leeds went home to sheffield and been a massive fan ever since
