Totally justified and I agree with you.
The weird thing is though is that the RS article said the album was supposed to come out in 98 and they are still doing the whole "most expensive record", but there is supposed to be material for 3. 13 million for 3 GNR records isn't that bad actually. Look at how much Metallica spent on the shitty black album. They spent a lot less on MOP and it was much better.
Getting back on track, as far as I know Axl never said in 98 that it was supposed to come out. Then at the VMA's Kurt Loder asked Axl and he said something along the lines of "Eh, I don't know about that one" and then everyone said it was coming out on April 25th or something like that. Just by judging Axl's mannerisms when asked by Loder I could instantly tell the record wasn't coming out.
People have been saying that Axl keeps saying this record was supposed to come out, but he hasn't said anything like that. Until now. To me, that is the true sign.

Right on man, I'm also an old head. Lol 32 anyway...and I agree with what you have been saying. I've seen them a few times myself and the last time with Metallica and Faith No More in 92 at Texas stadium. Anyway, welcome to the forum.
