I dont think he is stupid enough to use the weapons unless provoked. Like anyone else it is MAD.

He is now a major player in the world because he is now sitting at the same table as the most powerful: 'The Nuclear Table'. N Korea is now the 9th member.

Suppressing countries from reaching this table of power could be viewed as bullying by not wanting to relinquish relative power and authority, while it could also be viewed as maintaining world stability. Personally, I think its a bit of both.

I agree with you for the most part, but i think it is dangerous to have countries like north korea with the bomb.  not only is there the chance that they would sell the technology to other countries and groups who wouldn't hesitate to use it, but north korea has an uncertain future after kim jong il. its probably worse for a country in a civil war or power struggle to have it than a stable dictatorship

Agreed. But I think that provoking them into some sort of reaction would be very dangerous. You said previously that he needs to be 'gotten' but this may be the exact provocation that he needs for using his technology.

If we really care about world peace then it seems to make sense to not give him an excuse to use his weapons, ie provoke him. But it clearly goes much deeper than that. The decisions made in the next few days are more about power, influence and authority while also trying to maintain security and peace.

Don't u think they'd use it in South Korea or to menace South Korea and then conquer Korea?

there is no way the U.S. will invade North Korea.  first of all they don't have the troops to do it, secondly there is no way they are going to try and fight in canopy jungle in asia again, there are too many bad memories from vietnam

I don't think any country should have nuclear weapons. We should keep one for when we put all the terorists in the world in a country then drop it on them
Finally back on the internet!!!!
