Yeah we are all so damn fat, aren't we?  Me, Trent, Josh, Nikole, Mark.... we are all just so massively overweight.

i'm just saying i see more fat people in the states when i'm there (not that we don't have our share too)  maybe because we always stop at fast food places along the interstate.

also, i love americans, i go to school with a bunch of them, but had to vote home team too

The only stupid about this poll is the people who think America is better :p.

Haha, nah.  When I was in switzerland I was so excited to get back to Canada, to get back to all the "friendlier people", to get back to the "free" country and all that.

In reality, once I got back I realized that Canada isn't that great.  Alot of Canucks are friendly, but it isn't that outstanding or amazing, you get the same ratio of pricks to nice people here as in anywhere else.  Long story short, I was dissapointed with what Canada has become nowadays.  On the other hand, I'm kinda happy to, cause Canada (well speaking on Toronto's behalf) is real.  It isn't fake, you see bums on the side of the street, people shooting drugs in the alleys, prostitutes down on Yonge St.  It's real life, it's the Jungle baby, and I like it .

To be honest, what with both countries currently having right-wing political parties in charge, I'm not particualrly a fan of either, but Canada's aways struck me as a more laid-back, less abrasive place.  I think America currently suffers from delusions of granduer and an over-inflated sense of their own importance in relation to the rest of te world, whereas Canada realises that the rest of us don't need it to survive, for that alone I guess I'd say I prefer Canada.  I probably enjoyed the time I spent in Canada more than the time I've spent in the USA as well.

But I don't really think I'm in a position to judge this fairly, and by saying this I'm not saying I prefer Canadian people to Americans or anything stupid like that, I know I can't generalise to an entire population based on my experiences with a few people or my opinions on their governments.

Ditto.

I'm gonna leave it at that.

Yeah, I gotcha.  Although america gets its stereotype of being fat, which is obviously true because of statistics, it seems to only be in certain areas.  If I didn't know that was a true stat and someone said it's the fattest country, I'd probably fight you on it because I don't really see a tremendous amount of fat people except for at Wal-Mart.  It generally ends up being low class places which have nothing going on such as a lot of places in the southern states or places in the midwest.  And every town has their own lowclass areas I'm sure.  As childhood obesity becomes an issue it couldn't be less of one where I live.  I guarantee it's under 2%.
