reasons why 02 tour stopped ...which i read in a book

i scanned through this guns n roses book in town today and it gave some reasons believed why the 02 tour stopped....one reason was  becasue axl had hair translplants and was scarred on the back of his head....another one was because he had liposuction and he had to have time to recover ???

1. 2001 tour was rumored to be canceled because of Axl's alledged hair transplant
2. if axl did have a liposuction in 2002 or 2001, he wouldnt be wearing all that baggy clothes, but would have been showing off his thin figure.

3. 2001 tour was canceled under suspicious circumstances, and we have been given conflicting explanations.
first the official "buckethead has hemorrage", and later Axl said that he wasnt even informed of the tour.

I had heard the 2002 tour was cancelled because Clear Channel had demanded Axl return a substantial portion of the advance they had given him. Don't know if it's true or not, just what i recall hearing shortly after the tour was cancelled. ***It could also be that after the stellar performance @ MSG (which i was fortunate to attend 12/05/02) the band had realized it was time to return to California to work on finishing the record(s). That being said, i don't believe they would cancel the remaining dates. Not Axl's style to screw over the bands fans contrary to popular belief.

I like this subject since me and my friends talked about it and when they ask me why the tour was cancelled , I came up with a possible reason:

since the company was rushing Axl to release the album, going on tour and promote the upcomming album ( remember that the vancouver gig setlist was even print in the newspaper!) personally like we all know how Axl is, I guess he simply said to himself: nobody force me to walk if i don't want to. anyway the guy in 2002 already did a couple of festival in europe and couple of important shows in the US after like new york, a short hint in canada and judging by his look and the quality of the band at that time it is clear anyway that the band wasnt  ready to tour at that point. I guess he sinmply wanted to do couple show to just warm up the new band because i guess that after years of innactivity on scene it must be boring in the end.

Dope Davey knows by now that Chinese Democracy has already started but this time for real so, to prepare himself proprely, He decided to eat chinese food twice, three a maybe a week. chinese noodles, spare ribs and General Tao are among his favorites picks.

Ive read it was just GNR not showing up for 3 or 4 shows on the tour, causeing riots and contantly being late....then the promoters canned the tour and cancelled it
