Remember when you used to get drunk and watch guys beat the living hell out of each other?  Well it's that time of year again.  Time for you to get visually abused two to tree times a week.

Anyways, tell us what team you root for, how they are looking or discuss anything hockey in general in here.

I've been a die-hard penguins fan for years and as of last night, the pens are in 1st place for the first time in four seasons.  Nonetheless this looks like a pretty fun hockey season!

Evgeni Malkin... damn russians stole him from us the last two seasons :p

Sid the kid is proving that there is no such thing as a sophmore slump

Jordan Staal is one of the most impressive young players I've seen since Jamoir Jagr

I play hockey but don't follow it too much, how are the avalanche doing this year?

leafs all the way, sundin is killing this year, hit his 500th goal on a hattrick shorthanded in overtime.

also, Ovechkin is going to be the player of the year, fuck, he impresses the hell out of me everytime he hits the ice

He's fun to watch.  There is some great talent in this league this year.  I couldn't be happier with Crosby this year either.  He is the most unselfish and patient player since Lemuix.  Crosby... Malkin.... Lemuix... Jagr.... 91....92.... perhaps soon :D

agreed, Crosby is the man, the pens have a great team this year, you'd better hope Jim Balsillie doesn't move them to Canada, although we all hope he will  :)

not my favorite sport, but I've been to some Blue Jackets games. I root for them, cause they're the home-town team

Yeah, I know, I really wish he didn't buy the team I don't trust him at all.  Hopefully we just get a new arena, then hes stuck here for at least 15 more years.

ya, if he doesn't get a new arena then he's gone for sure. and he said he wouldn't move them, but he's also on record saying he wouldn't buy them.  although from the canadian side its nice to see this.  before the salary cap the Winnepeg jets and the Quebec Nordiques went south, we'd like to see it the other way around.  but hopefully not win the pens, i can't see them without pittsburg
